If your ol’ buddy Bob calls you and says, “I’ll give ya one hour. Give me all you got.” You don’t just jump, you ask “How high?” and then you buy a pogo stick. (Which is a horrific decision in retrospect, because while they’re high on endurance, their vertical is darn near pathetic.)
Here’s the sticky. For as long as I’ve known him, Bob’s logo has always looked like this:

The challenge: Bob wanted to update his look without damaging the brand recognition he’s spent nearly twenty years developing with his Richmond-area client base. That’s where I come in.
One hour. No prisoners. Here’s what I gave ‘im:

And as we creatives often do, we flip-flopped a bit. And then we decided on a mix between two.
All hail the one-hour logo make-over:
Bob hasn’t updated his web site with the new logo yet. (Bob! Ahem!) But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t support him with your business, homemade cookies or happy compliments.
